INNOVATIVE SAFETY SYSTEMS, INC. formed in 1996, and has over 30 years combined experience in the Safety & Health Industry. ISSI assists organizations with OSHA compliance; employee, supervisor, and management training; facility safety audits; injury prevention; and ergonomic programs. In addition to being well versed in the OSHA regulations, our primary focus has been injury prevention.

Dave Schwoerer, Owner/Safety Specialist - Since obtaining his Masters in Occupational Safety, Dave has worked over fifteen years in the safety field. In addition to working as a corporate safety director, he has over eight years experience in multi-line and workers compensation insurance, assisting companies with injury prevention through worksite audits and supervisor and employee training. In addition to his role in injury prevention, he supervised the Accident Prevention staff. Dave co-founded Innovative Safety Systems, Inc. in 1996. Dave has successfully completed training as a Competent Person in Excavation, Scaffolding, and Fall Protection and is an Authorized OSHA 500 & 501 Trainer. He also serves as President on the Professional Training and Development Committee for the Wisconsin Council of Safety.

Ron Humphreys, ARM, CSHM, Safety Specialist - Ron has over 25 years of experience working in the insurance and manufacturing industries in safety, security, labor relations, and workers compensation underwriting and production supervision; with 10 years of management experience coaching staffs in diverse disciplines. Ron is a member of the Wisconsin Council of Safety and National Safety Management Society and is an Authorized OSHA 501 Trainer. Ron has published safety articles in national trade magazines, including "Risk & Insurance Management", and the NSMS Quarterly Newsletter, and has developed several adult- learning workshops including Root Cause Analysis and Machine Safeguarding. Ron has an Associate in Risk Management designation from the Insurance Institute of America.

Karen Gromowski, Office Manager - Karen is the behind the scenes worker that makes this office run. With her years of experience in office managing she knows what to do and when to do it!
